La vue café is way more than I expected. At the base of the grand balloon, the view near the restaurant is breathtaking. The interior is a very cozy cabin feel with high ceilings. Something you don’t expect from the outside. It is one of the few surrounding cafes open on Monday. The staff is very friendly. They offer everything from snacks, beer, other beverages, hot and cold food, with a revolving tower of tartes. Yum! All self service. There is no Wi-Fi and few places to charge.

Nice restaurant on the top of "Grande Ballon" on the Route des Crêtes. Nice traditional "Flammkueche" in several tastes. We can highly recommend to make a break there. There is a big parking in front. Nice view over Alsace and Basel till the Swiss and French Alps

This is where we always stop on our motorcycle tour of the region. Can get very busy in holiday season and parking is on slopes and gravel so not great for bikes, but nevertheless a lovely place.

Great place to stop at the top of the Vosges. On a clear day you get a phenomenal view of the Alps. Good coffee and cakes. Not much of a vegan choice.

Such a fantastic place to visit the drive up the mountain was step and lots of bends which made it exciting and then to come out at the top to such a wonderful view. It's buzzing there in a weekend with groups of bikers and cars turning up for a cuppa and cake then moving on and another set arrives. The chocolate brownies were the most delicious I've tasted in a long time. Plenty of parking was an added bonus as we were in a classic Hymermobil , there were other motorhomes there too

Great view from here and only about 15 min walk to the actual top of the mountain. Restaurant is quite simple, not bad, not very bad, just decent given its very commercial location.
